ABSTRACT STORY

This painting was commissioned by a friend of mine from who loves to trek. He loves mountains, and is one of youngest people to have scaled Mt. Everest.

The painting is for a restaurant/café called 'The Pahādi' which he has opened in his hometown of Manali, HP. It depicts the aesthetic of the city that I experienced when I went to visit the beautiful city. There are two mantras written on the artwork, but in order to see them the artwork must be viewed in person, since they are written in charcoal their visibility is subject to the lighting and the viewing angle.
