The Mystic
This is a portrait of a Shaman woman. The feathers in the cap are a sign of the various feats achieved by the person wearing them.
The downward facing triangle below the face represents the feminine/yin.
I textured the canvas using gesso before painting. This is a part of a series of portraits painted using only palette knives.
